Twins

We have been really blessed here and I have an exciting new picture for you today to show for it. The picture is of some of the cutest twins in the world.  I know I am a little biased but I think you will have to agree.  See:

And you thought our family had grown.  LOL!  No, those four blessings are Sandhill Cranes and they are definitely one of the many blessings of living in Florida.  Aren't they just beautiful?  The adults are cool on their own but their babies . . . they are even more amazing.

They are pretty smart too.  They listen to their parents very well.  They will run to hide at the first peep from mommy and daddy, and they will keep their distance when dogs or other animals are around too.

Some people don't like the noise they make as they can be very loud and they also sound just like the dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park." They can certainly stop traffic when they are crossing the streets down here.  Even the busiest streets all come to a stop so they can mosey across to the other side.

Until next time, may your creative time be blessed with a little cuteness and a lot of fun.

I absolutely love the Sandhill Cranes and the sound they make. Here in Nebraska, for the last 10,000 or more years, in March and early April, over 500,000 of them stop along the Platte River Basin for several weeks to fatten up before heading down to your area. It's definitely an amazing site to see as thousands fly in to roost on the River at night or fly out at dawn to feed in the fields by day. My husband & I make the pilgrimage to central Nebraska every year to photograph them for a day. We're still in search of the perfect photo, but it's an event that sticks in your heart and memory forever. People come from all over the world to see it. There's nothing else like it in the world.
