An Odd Day

Thank you so much for your lovely wishes for our anniversary.  We had a delightful time.  We went out for lunch and shopped at Lowes and WalMart.  We're really exciting people, don't you think?!?!?!  LOL!

As for today, it's been an odd one.  It got windy and we were under a tornado watch for most of the day but we didn't even see one drop of rain.  Until right now.  I'm not kidding.  It literally just started raining and hard too.

The church even canceled our class tonight.  Now, that was great.  We really enjoy our class but we really needed to spend some time together as a family shopping for clothes for the kiddos.

Would you believe they begged to go to the thrift store to shop for clothes?  It's true.  When I was a kid, ALL of my clothes (except underwear and socks) came from the thrift stores or was home-made by my grandma.  It was the only way my parents could afford to clothe all of us.

Yep, I was the kid who got teased over my thrift store clothes and now my kids want to get their clothes at the thrift store.  LOL!  They've found some cool stuff there and know which stores have the best selection.  Plus, it saves us a lot of money so it's a big plus in my book.

I also got to work on this week's free file but not enough to test cut it or share a picture.  You know me; you don't even get to see a picture until I KNOW the file will cut well for you.  Speaking of which, I'd better get busy or you won't see it at all.

Until next time, Happy Creative Time!

I think lunch and shopping at Lowes and WalMart is a FUN way to spend the day only I would have to add JoAnn's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby to that list. ROFLOL

I LOVE thrift store clothes. I've gotten some of my prettiest clothes from there!!!! My DD also LOVES to shop at thrift stores and she's 41! We also go to second hand stores for Clay's clothes. He's growing SO fast and this place around us called "Once Upon A Child" has some of THE best deals ever! It PAYS to shop there for Clay! Plus you can take things back there and they give you store credit!!!!!!!!!!!! How's THAT for a DEAL!?!!!

Can't wait to see the freebie you have in store for us tomorrow! You ROCK! :)

Your day sounds like one my hubby and I would have. Any day spent together is a good day and if you enjoy spending your time together at Lowe's and Walmert, then it is the perfect anniversary for you.

I think spending your anniversary with hubby at Lowes and WalMart is wonderful!!! I work with people who think they have to get a dozen roses, dinner at a fancy restaurant...or they are mad at their hubby for weeks and they think I am nuts but they waste all this $$ on the flashy stuff and then talk terrible the rest of the year about each other. Hubby can buy me lunch, take me to Lowes and tell me he loves any day! (of course I like flowers too but a bunch of daisies with a note that says 'thinking of you' any of the other 364 days of the year bets 6 dozen roses with at note that says 'happy anniversary' in my book)

Glad you had a great day!

What a tense day you had in your bathroom! I'm so glad everything turned out okay.
