Distance = Confusion & Worry

Contrary to the old saying, distance does not make the heart grow fonder. Distance confuses people and makes them worry more.

There are times when it really stinks to be living in Florida when your family lives in Michigan, Kentucky and Arizona. I know it's not possible to live in three states at one time but still. . . . This is one of those times.

Apparently my father-in-law has had a stroke. I say "apparently" because we're not sure. He's not sure and neither are his doctors. We also don't know a lot of what's going on either.

Right now, my father-in-law's in the hospital and he's been walking around. He says he feels fine now and is just waiting for them to release him but he couldn't walk on Tuesday. I couldn't believe he didn't even go to the doctor until Wednesday! Even then, his doctor sent him home. Then today, he wasn't feeling well and so he drove himself to the hospital.

At least, with great gratitude, we can say he was and is now carrying his cell phone with him at all times! We've been wanting him to get one for years and finally convinced him to accept one from us as his birthday present. This is a huge step in the right direction for him and it brings us great peace of mind too.

So, if you're the praying type, we'd appreciate any prayers you can spare for John.

Until next time, Happy Creative Time!

Praying for your FIL to be safe and that his health issues are resolved!

I personally KNOW what it's like to have family SO far away. It just plain sucks! My DGD lives in Texas. I've seen her ONCE in her little life and it saddens me to have her grow up without knowing who I am. She's now four! I'm thinking on going down there in September if all goes well.

Anyway, prayers going UP for your FIL!!!!!!

I will be praying, too. It is hard being away from family. Glad you got him the cell phone!
