It is DONE!

It's DONE! WAHOOZLES!

Well, almost all done. I still have to iron the hem and hand-sew in the hook and eye. But, for all intents and purposes, the dress is done! See:

I am so very proud of how it turned out and I know I couldn't have done it without all your tips and advice. Thank you very much!

I'm particularly proud of the French seam down the back of the lace and the zipper too. Zippers have always been a challenge for me to put in garments. So, having this one come out as close to perfect as I can get, well, that's an "A" in my book. LOL! As for the French seam, it looks so awesome that you can't even tell it's there. See:

I still need to make the veil and the crinoline slip to make the dress poof out a bit but I'm celebrating anyway. The dress is done! Yippee!

Most importantly, I am forever grateful to all my kind friends who gave me tips and helped me make a pretty dress for a very important day in my daughter's life. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Until next time, Happy Creative Time!

Oh my gosh, Ileana! The dress turned out incredible! Fantastic job! That lace is fabulous! No wonder you were so "scared" to work with it. Your daughter looks so precious in it!!!!!!!

Gorgeous! Both the dress and the model.
If you put the netting of the crinoline toward the dress/away from her body, it will be less scratchy, but it might show through. My girls usually vote for less scratchy. :) Either way, you're almost done. Great job!
