Braving New Territory

I got VERY brave today. I cut the fabric. LOL!

My mother bought the fabric and the lace for our daughter's First Communion dress when she came to visit for Thanksgiving. The fabric has been here since then, just waiting for me to work up the courage to start the dress. I know that sounds odd but I know how much she spent on the material and, well, the thought of messing it up is very scary! And, since I'm a military wife, there's not a lot that scares me!!! LOL!

Well, today, I said a few prayers, took several deep breaths, and cut out the dress! It took me a couple of hours but all the pieces are correctly cut out and ready to be sewn together. Phew!

Now, if I could just work up the courage to cut the lace. LOL!

Until next time, Happy Creative Time!

Good luck Ileana!!! I know exactly how you feel. I have faith in you...you will do fine. Can't wait to see the finished product!! You can't finish...unless you start (don't remember where I heard that...but, I like it). Hugs, Rockin Robin
