Braving New Territory

I got VERY brave today. I cut the fabric. LOL!

My mother bought the fabric and the lace for our daughter's First Communion dress when she came to visit for Thanksgiving. The fabric has been here since then, just waiting for me to work up the courage to start the dress. I know that sounds odd but I know how much she spent on the material and, well, the thought of messing it up is very scary! And, since I'm a military wife, there's not a lot that scares me!!! LOL!

Well, today, I said a few prayers, took several deep breaths, and cut out the dress! It took me a couple of hours but all the pieces are correctly cut out and ready to be sewn together. Phew!

Now, if I could just work up the courage to cut the lace. LOL!

Until next time, Happy Creative Time!

I can imagine how scared I would be and can completely sympathize with you. I know you will do an awesome job though and the dress will be stunning. i saw the "trail" run and it was very pretty. Good luck with the lace.
