Qualities?

Monday night, at the Parents' Night at the school, we were given a quick assignment. We were asked to list the qualities we'd like our children to develop in school. Just as we were about to get started on this impromptu task, a friend of ours tapped us and jokingly said we were writing her list for her because she admired us.

Honestly, I am so very flattered by her comment but I'm confuddled as well. You see, I admire her parenting, the example she espouses. And, yet, she looks up to us?! To find out why, you'll have to check back tomorrow.

First, I'd like to hear from you. What three qualities do you admire in other people? When you see someone you think has it "all together," just what is it that makes it appear that way?

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

I love it when I can trust someone without question, when they are responsible and have a great work ethic--I'm doing my best to teach my three children that these are all important qualities that, if developed when they are young, will always be beneficial later.

Thanks, I love reading your blog!

The qualities I admire most in others are honesty, dependability, and just a general positive attitude. I find that a generally positive attitude can add so much to one's life. Of course, everyone will have down days and hard times, but if you can do your best to find the silver lining in any situation, it can make things much easier to bear.

I want to be more organized so when I see people who are very organized I envy them because at one point I was organized, but now with 5 children I think I am on the other side of the spectrum. I envy people who are always on time to events and also when their children are behaving so good and not interrupting them. These are all things that I am working on and trying to become better at.

oh gosh, this is kinda hard, what I admire most out of some people is how they stand up and fight for what they believe is right, no matter. I wish I had more guts to do that. I also admire peoples honesty, not that I am not honest it is just sometimes it is easier to lie to spare someones feelings...lol
