Oops!

I know, yesterday, I was a bad blogger. Honestly, I totally forgot.

This always happens to me with one thing or another. I get caught up in life and before I know it I'm in bed trying to quiet my mind and go to sleep when it suddenly hits me: "I forgot _____." I can fill in the blank with lots of different things. Tonight, it's that I forgot to turn off the air conditioning in the school when I left. (oops!) Last night it was this blog. Sorry.

This reminds me, though, of another topic. How do you know when your work is good enough? That's a question I know many women struggle with in all our many roles--as a mom, as a wife, in our jobs, and in our creative projects too. I, for one, am my own worst critic. So, tell me, how do you know when your work is good enough? Seriously, I'd love to know what you think.

Happy Scrapping!

Ha! How do you know when your work is good enough?? Why, when you have a thousand requests to do a tutorial for something you just invented by trial and error... or when your blog is suddenly hit by a heap of blog followers who have been sent there by a comment somewhere... or when all the moms want to know how you made that barrette or that dress or that shrug or that lil ol rag doll your child is showing off, and do you think you could make one for them!! The problem is not how you know your work is good enough but the sad thought that all those who asked you to do a tut, or took your freebie, downloaded it but never did anything with it - or worse still passed it off as their own. I love all your work, which is certainly good enough, Ileana. Have a great weekend.

i agree with Donnie. i'm always afraid the first time i participate in a swap in fear i've done something so totally inappropriate or not good enough. i've seen such talented people in this wonderful craft, and well ... they intimidate me!!!

How do you know when it's good enough? When people ask how you how you've come up with the design, or how you created it ... or when the person hosting the swap says it's awesome! *wink*
