Expressing Our Gratitude

Shortly after my husband’s first deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I made a point of approaching and personally thanking a veteran or a soldier whenever I saw one. I have done this in restaurants and stores, wherever I can. My children have seen me do this many times. Today, for the first time, my eight year old son took on that responsibility for us. I could not be more proud of my son than I am today and I sincerely hope he continues to express his gratitude for his freedoms whenever he gets the chance.

In that spirit, please stop by tomorrow because I should have a surprise ready for you.
