Another Deputy Black Belt

Please excuse me.  I'm taking a break from the creative side today for a proud mama moment.

Congratulations to Ilaria for earning her Deputy Black Belt!

Below is a small clip from her test, but first, let me explain the context.  At this level, they blindfold the student and spin them around to further disorient them.  Then they tap using two boards and the student has to follow the sound and identify if the taps are coming from high up, middle or low.  Finally, they have to break the board.

The purpose of this is to prepare the students to defend themselves in case someone were to attack them in the middle of the night.

Ilaria didn't get to practice this portion at all before her test.

Way to go, Ilaria!

Tomorrow, I'll have more creative things to share.  I promise.  Until then, may you enjoy some wonderful creative bliss.

Wow! I could not do that. She did a great job. We can tell she practices, even if not that exact skill.
