Our Miracle

Sorry, I missed posting yesterday.  I was having computer issues and had to spend hours getting it fixed.  I'm hoping all will be well with my other baby--my laptop--for a long while now.

I am going to share a layout with you today that is very close to my heart.  It's not the best layout I have ever made.  In fact, it's one of my early pages and somebody sneezed stickers all over it.  LOL!  Yet, hey, I had an active toddler on my hands, was pregnant too, and was preparing to go to Texas for my hubby to attend an 11 week class.

So, yes, this layout is a big trip down memory lane for me.  Yet, that isn't why this layout is dear to my heart.  It's special to my family because of the miracle it represents.  See:

We were told our daughter would have Trisomey 18, the same condition that Rick Santorum's precious little girl has.

Babies who are born with Trisomey 18 rarely live past 2 months of age.  Typically they cannot open their hands, their ears are set lower on their heads, and the bottoms of their feet are like a rocking chair rather than flat.  Typically, they do not have enough brain matter to be able to suck and swallow and coordinate the two.  "Remembering" to breathe can also be very difficult.

Yet, the tests and the doctors were wrong.  Instead, we were blessed with this:

and God has amazing things planned for her.

Oh my what a touching story. God is so good to His children. I love reading what Dr's. say and then watch what God does. Truly a miracle.
