Auld Lang Syne?

Congratulations to momof5 for winning yesterday's trivia contest and to:

for winning the random drawing.

Also, congratulations to:

Because of your graciousness in expressing your gratitude and in making my day by doing so, it was time for another random drawing.

So, if you lovely ladies could e-mail me at ijr41ug @ yahoo.com or iscrapdesigns @ gmail.com (take out the spaces, please) with your choice of a free file, I'll send it out to you as soon as I can.

Yes, Charles Dickens' most popular Christmas story is "A Christmas Carol."

Now for the last trivia question in this series:

What does "Auld Lang Syne" mean?

The first person with the correct answer will win their choice of a free file and all those who comment will also be entered into another random drawing for a free file too.

Don't forget to visit my friends Chris and Jan because I know they will have fun stuff for you today too.

Oh, and don't forget to stop by here tomorrow to see who won the trivia contest and to see what else we've been working on around here.  It might even make you laugh.

Until then, Happy Creative Time!

Again I had no clue so I did a little research and this is what I found out. Very interesting I have learned some new things from your trivia questions. Thanks.

It turns out that "Auld Lang Syne" is an extremely old Scottish song that was first written down in the 1700s. Robert Burns is the person whose transcription got the most attention, so the song is associated with him.

According to this page, a good translation of the words "auld lang syne" is "times gone by."

It means the past or old times.

I love all your trivia questions. What a sneeky way to get us to "study" and "research".

It relates to the past or the year's past--that is now a memory. NIce song and a Blessed Christmas to all!
