We have two new beginnings coming up on us this week-end and we are very excited about both of them.
The first new beginning is for our son who will be crossing over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. He's ready to move on and so are we. It's an exciting time for all of us.
The biggest new beginning is the hardest for me to fathom. For the very first time in our entire relationship--yes, even going back to our very first date--my hubby will have week-ends off. For the past 26 years, my husband has given at least one week-end a month to the US military. That's changing this week-end. Yay!
No, he's not retiring. I seriously doubt that will ever happen. He's actually got a new position in Miami. That will mean that he'll do his Reserve Duty in short stretches two to three times a year. The week-ends, for the most part, will be all ours. I'm not sure what we'll do with the hubby around here all the time. LOL! Yet we are very excited about that prospect. We'll just have to figure out how to be a normal family. LOL!
