A Stained Glass Snowflake

Welcome!  I'm so glad you stopped by to visit me on this beautiful day.

I have a special little free file for you.  See:

and this is what I made with it:

While there are several options for lining papers, I cut the inner snowflake and the smallest diamond liners out of vellum.  To perform double duty, I ran them through my Xyron.  This allowed me to adhere the pieces to the back of the snowflake and apply glitter to the centers too.  It was quick and easy and gave beautiful results which aren't really reflected in this picture.  Now, I can't wait to make a home for this snowflake.  I'm sure a friend of mine would love to receive it.

This file, while it is offered freely here, is still governed by my Terms of Use.  I appreciate you recommending my blog to your friends so that they may download the file for themselves!  Also, the links to this file will expire on Sunday.  After that, it will be on its way to the I Scrap Designs store at Paperthreads.

The password is iagreetotou (no capitals, no spaces, and no punctuation) and here are your links:

Sorry, these links have expired.  Please look for this and other cool files in the
store at Paperthreads.

If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to e-mail me at ijr41ug @ yahoo.com (please take out the spaces) and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Oh, and make sure you scroll down to check out the next post.  It's about a cool challenge and it just might score you some cool prizes!  More crafting and prizes too?  It doesn't get much better than that!

Thank you, in advance, for your comments.  I treasure each and every one!

Happy Creative Time!

Lovely! And I like the colors in both your samples. I guess I should play with vellum sometime- I bought some but haven't used it. Yours looks wonderful. Great idea to use your Xyron, too. Mine is too small, so I might have to find another way.
Thanks!

Lisa,
I used the Xyron X (the "X" shaped sticker maker) but I just used the cartridge--not the X itself. It's easier to see that the shapes aren't overlapping and it saves money that way.
