EEEEEEeeeeeeeeeek!!!

We had another exciting week-end. Daddy scored 4 free tickets to a concert. I wasn't feeling up to going so I gladly stayed home but Hubby took both kiddos and they had a blast. Bryce even caught a guitar pick that was tossed at him. Woo Hoo!

Then, the next day, after doing all their chores, the kids wanted to go swimming. They changed into their suits and headed out the back door. As usual, it's always a race between the two kids to see who can jump in the pool first. This time, it was Ilaria who "won" the race.

I heard the splash and then the loudest, scariest blood-curdling scream I have ever heard in my entire life. What's worse is that it went on for forever and just would not stop! Man, that girl's got a set of lungs on her.

So, like any mom, I jump out of my skin and out the door to investigate what in the world is going on.

There's a snake in the pool. LOL!

Now, with our past experience with snakes, I wouldn't normally laugh but for this one . . . Well, just take a peek:
Yep, that's a baby snake that's just barely longer than a night crawler. And, nope, it's not venomous. It's a banded snake because it has the red "collar" or band around its neck.

What is really funny about it is that my daughter isn't normally squeamish. This little guy just surprised her. After Daddy got it out of the pool, she even had to hold it before she let it go near the pond in our back yard.

That scream, though, is something I know I won't forget any time soon. LOL!

Happy Creative Time!
