Wow!

Today, my daughter was blessed by a stranger with a very kind heart.

Several weeks ago, I told you that her prized collection of holy cards was stolen from her show and tell bag at school. She was devastated. Well, we had heard they had caught the people who broke into the school and had recovered some of the stuff they stole. So, during our parent-teacher conferences, we asked whether or not they had found any of Ilaria's things. Her teacher told us to ask in the office.

When we checked in with the secretary, she was so touched by Ilaria's story that she took it upon herself to go visit the Christian bookstore around the corner from the school during her lunch period. She purchased a bunch of cards for our daughter and delivered them to her early this afternoon.

Ilaria was as happy as can be and we are all very grateful for the secretary's kindness and generosity.

But . . . she's not the stranger. Nope. While she was checking out at the bookstore, a "kind old man" overheard her telling the cashier Ilaria's story. He then went shopping for Ilaria too and had the cashier deliver his gifts to the school and then the secretary delivered them to Ilaria at the end of the day. Wow!

We don't know his name or anything about him but his kindness and generosity are truly a blessing. Yes, she had been hurt by the thieves but she has been really blessed today as she has personally seen the goodness in people by far surpassing the ill. For that, we are deeply grateful.

This is something we'll definitely have to get into the scrapbook.

Happy Scrapping!

I love this story. And how special that, for her, the two who were kind outweigh the one who was not.
