Reading List?

I really enjoyed hearing about your pets. It was touching and funny and I could identify with each and every one of your stories. I loved it so much I'd like to hear some more.

This time, I'd love to hear what your favorite books are. What? You never thought about scrapping your favorite books? Oh, but what an opportunity! Our own stories are precious and they are influenced by the stories we love.

I have a lot of favorites and I've recently tried to get my son to read some of my favorites from when I was his age. You know what? That little stinker won't do it. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NYMH is one that comes to mind. I don't know if it's because I'm a girl or because I am the mom and reading something mom suggested just would not be cool. I'm not giving up just yet though. I'll get him to read some of my favorites yet. LOL!

So, tell me, what do you like to read? What is your favorite? What have you read recently that you think others should read?

Hi Ileana! The Shack by William P. Young. The book is AWESOME and FABULOUS and I read it 4 times!!! It's a novel with a very sad story actually, but the spiritual messages are so profound, it's just incredible. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it!

My favorite is LOVE YOU FOREVER by Robert Munsch. Its a kids book but I just love it. I put a copy if it in each of my kids baby books so when they move out and start a family - they will find a copy of it.

On the grown up side I love Nora Roberts. Any of them. The born of fire trilogy is prob. my favorite.

I agree with Lynn, I like The Shack and am rereading it again just to pick up on anything I missed. My all time favorite, is "The Secret Garden". Nora Roberts, Jeffrey Deaver, Stuart Woods, Catherine Coulter, Luanne Rice, are just a few of the other authors that I enjoy. Oh and can't forget Tracy Petereson!!

I love Peter and the Starcatchers. It is a prequil to Peter Pan. There is a whole series, but this first one is by far the best. My DD teacher read it to the 3rd grade class and my older DD read it for mother/daughter book club. After that, I had to read the rest of the series. Author Dave Barry.

I am a huge James Patterson fan. I think I've read almost all his books. The most recent one I finished was called Daniel X. It was a great story, and it was even written towards a younger kids. I think my son who is 6 may even enjoy it. I also enjoyed reading the Harry Potter books.

I love Agatha Christie. These are the books I pick up when I dont want to have work too hard whilst reading, I just love them! I have just finished "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult, this was a wonderful book, but sad. I am now reading "Songs of the Humpback Whale", also by Jodi. I also enjoy Medieval Mysteries such as Cadfael.
