A Christmas Disagreement

Yep, at a time when peace is supposed to prevail, we are having a Christmas disagreement. You see, my husband wants to take down all the Christmas decorations already but I'm not quite ready to let them go. Part of the reason I'm not ready to let it get packed away just yet is that Christmas has been a favorite holiday of mine for many years. Also, we weren't home to celebrate Christmas so it seems like we missed out a bit but there's more to it than that.

I know most people view Christmas as December 25th and not another day more but Christmas isn't over until January 11th. No, I'm not making this up! LOL! Christmas ends with the Baptism of Jesus and that is celebrated on January 11th.

We've been trying to get our whole family to focus on the real reason for the season and all that entails. So packing up the tree now just seems like a bit of a sell-out to me especially since one of my husband's reasons for doing it is so the kids can have more room to play the Wii.

Yet, the other reason does make sense to me. If we put it all away before Monday, we'll have a fresh, clean start to the new year of school, work and daily obligations. Oh, sigh! Who's going to win this one? . . . Probably my husband. But I don't have to like it. LOL!

Happy Scrapping!

Good Luck on what you all decide on. Like you, Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and love seeing the lights, Nativity displays, and other decorations. I find it to be a happy time of year.
